Wounded Gaze
My wounded side
Pierced
My wounded side
I am emptied
The blood — my blood
Yours
The water — all I have
Yours
My wounds — yours
My death — yours
My life — yours
My breath — yours
My hands — yours
My feet — yours
So look at Me again
Gaze upon my wounded side
Look into my wounds
Receive what I died to give
Take all of Me
His gaze
His eyes locked on mine
They held me as I held my infant son
They hold me now as the cross holds His body
I rest in the will of our Father, yet He knows my pieced heart —
I look at His pierced side .
My eyes locked on His wounds.
His eyes speak surrender, mercy, and goodness
Even as He fades to death
My spirit waits on Him once again
I carried Him, and I carry Him yet again
It is finished
